JEE - Journey of Extraordinary Expectations (my expectations)

Image
Hey amazing world 💕 As most of you may or may not know, I prep for this adrenaline inducing, soul crushing, mind bending, heart aching, stomach twisting exam - JEE (for those of you who haven't heard of it, it's basically an engineering entrance exam but I suggest you look it up to get the gravity of what I'm going to write about henceforth).  Am I exaggerating? almost certainly yes (ALMOST).  Do I like putting myself in this sea of flesh-eating sharks? Yes, but sometimes no. Did I get into this stream by choice? Yes, most definitely yes. Is it going well? I honestly have NO clue, and I think that's half the fun (maybe I'm a sadist). Before you start making bombastic side eyes at this post - know that this is NOT going to be a success rant (yeah, I learnt 'gen z' recently and I plan on actively showing it off.....lol). This post is going to be a well thought out post about what I expected JEE prep to look like vs what it actually is.  Let's just say th...

My Brain - I Think it Hates Me

Oh you're here, what took you so long? 😏 This post is probably gonna make the most meme-able person ever, I mean, how am I supposed to control my comedic personality. 😁 So, before I drift into a saga of self-praising, lemme get to what I ACTUALLY want to talk about.  My brain is nuts!! (If my friends are reading this they'll probably go - 'took you long enough!').  Do you know how ANNOYING it is when you have a brain that controls you instead of you controlling it? One minute I sit down to study and the next minute I just have to know who is nominated for the 2026 Grammys (I actually looked that up mid study session). Oh, and here's another example, I was so deep in my physics study when my brain just flipped a lever, and I was like 'what would happen if I put ghee on my lips every day?' and that question took me to chat GPT (chat GPT is my bff now.... lol). As you can see, this blog is definitely gonna put my brain on display.  Picture this - A girl sit...

What A Decade and (almost) 7 Years Of Life Taught Me: The Good, Bad and Ugly [PART 1]

MY CLASSIFIED CHILDHOOD SURVIVAL GUIDE ! ( This Title is inspired by a T.V show I watched a decade ago.....you know which one?)  Hello fellow readers 😎 I have reached that age where I have to think about my future and be concerned about it. Sad? I know! Sounds familiar? Well then, that's just great 😕  The funniest thing about all this is that, when I was really small (let's just say 4th grade), I was concerned about things like finding my missing classroom worksheets and writing the easiest of class tests (they felt very hard then, unfortunately) . As an 11th grader, I now WISH I could write 4th grade exams.  I learned how relative the term 'difficulty' is. I learned that once you face something harder, what seemed difficult before feels easy. That brings me to my latest topic of conversation; 'what exactly have I learned after living on planet earth for a decade and (almost) 7 years'.  To begin with, I have absolutely learnt with utmost certainty that ..........

Burning Food instead of Calories, Putting my Intelligence on Paper and Many More Epic Fails!!

Welcome to my brand-new blog post ........ (Ta-Da) 😉 (after a gazillion days, that is....) Today I have come up with a compilation of all my life's failed experiments. 😎 MY EXERCISE DREAM: To begin this story, let me tell you something, I started my sedentary lifestyle about 2 years ago. Ever since, I guess I've been allergic to movements. The lifestyle, by the way, was not a choice. I am simply a victim of circumstance (let's just blame my circumstances for now......lol). To put it in a very degrading way, I'm a couch potato. However, I did something great recently. I exercised!! 😏 I can't begin to tell you how pumped I was when I started daydreaming about my new possible look after getting 15 abs and 20kilos of pure muscle 💪(that was a bit of an exaggeration). Anyways, I exercised the very next day after that extensive daydreaming session and the most obvious thing happened. I literally made all my muscles ache, and I couldn't exercise for the next 4 days ...

Sitting deserves a throne: My arguments to glorify sitting

Hello beautiful human beings 💛 Today I want to discuss a very crucial topic. Have I aroused your curiosity? If yes, then you are in for a surprise because today I'm gonna talk about the beauty I find in sitting (this is NOT a health advice, this is the story of an unhealthy habit that I have thought of as my life's calling......lol). Welcome to this blog post where I will be promoting the activity of sitting. To begin with, there are obviously times when sitting is unavoidable. Let's travel to one of those times; imagine working all day and a chair feels like your best friend, imagine an incredibly hot day and that couch under your AC feels like paradise, imagine you do something stupid, and you find your bed the best place to mope about your problems. However, today I am not here to state the obvious. I definitely know you're curious now to find out what I'm gonna come up with. Brace yourself, let me humor you. Sitting is an undeniable part of our lives. It is ...

To cook or not to cook, that is the question

Hello, wonderful people of Earth! As your eyes remain fixated on this screen of yours, reading the words that were once in my head and now on this magnificent screen, let me narrate the events that have profoundly evolved my ways. They haven't caused any noticeable and striking deviations to my personality, so you have nothing to particularly worry about. To bring your attention back to the matter at hand, let us begin this tale of new resolutions and difficult decisions. Sit back and let me enlighten your senses with this enthralling story. The summer sun was particularly hot, and I was turning to vapor. The blades of the fan rotated at the highest velocity, yet I was unable to cool myself down. I grew impatient and stood up from the sofa I was comfortably seated on. I stepped into the kitchen, and my eyes searched frantically to engage myself in anything at all. Eventually, my eyes were greeted by the great Sir Cabbage the Third (I addressed the cabbage as "the Third"...

My take on love: The good, the bad and everything else you thought about

TEENAGE LOVE, BEAUTY AND UNREALISTIC EXPECTATIONS   Hello World 😎 It's a bright and sunshiny day, a dark and stary night or a warm and sweaty afternoon, depending on when you are reading this....lol Well, I am a teenager (you probably already knew that but..... anyways) and the most significant thing that people (generally adults) talk about is that we're having a war of hormones....lol. Also, in sitcoms and other movies we typically see the teen character as someone who gets in trouble, shuts the door of his/her room very loudly and yells at his or her parents or sneaks out at night to do whatnot.  All stereotypes aside, one thing all teenagers can agree on, is that we all fall in love with random people during this time and its often out of our control, it just happens. In this blog post, I'm going to give you my take on all of this teenage drama that people generally talk about as a bad thing. So, here goes nothing..... brace yourself!! Is falling in love bad? Of cour...

Freedom At Last!

Welcome to yet another post about my life 😎.  To begin with, (drumroll please), my long-awaited exam is finally over (it was over yesterday but you know...). It was an exhilarating experience—terrifying at first but definitely memorable! The amount of learning I did over the past month is inexplicable 😐. I felt like a learned professor at the end of it all (a bit of an exaggeration), but the funny thing is that I had absolutely zero sleepless nights. Turns out, I'm one of those people who can sleep through anything.... lol. Anyways, let's get to me and the exam room (again). So, the first exam was English, and it was to be written at another school.... I even had a fancy hall ticket and stuff with a terrible picture of me pasted on the front (this was just for some context). Now, let's travel to February 15 (when this ultimate exam journey began). I woke up at 5:30 am with a brain full of poets and tons of grammar and literature floating around me. The first thought that ...

Milestones and Musings: A Month in My Life

Hey Beautiful World 😉, As I slowly open this door in front of you to walk you through my past month, I am both excited and brimming with joy. So why don't we get right to it then! First of all, I feel an inexplicable amount of respect to the 10th graders who walked along the path I'm walking on now. I can't begin to tell you how many exams there are at school before the ultimate exam (the board exam). Anyways, I've written so many exams now, that at this point writing exams is an unwelcomed hobby....lol. But the unexpected thing is that despite the repetitive learning, I still mess up. For now, let's just blame that on the quality of my studying and move on to the next story. Has it ever felt mind blowing to you when someone you just met was born the day immediately after you were born (in my case, not the same year but I guess it still counts)? Anyhow, the story below tells you exactly what happened! I had an exam yesterday at another school and everyone around m...

A Question to Really Think About

Welcome ladies and gentlemen to yet another one of my posts 😎 Well, today I just came across this question and I thought I'd share my views (just to enlighten your senses...lol) 😄 What Does It Mean to Live a Meaningful Life Some of you might've already started thinking and some of you might've just continued reading. Either way, everyone is gonna have a different answer but here's mine.  First of all, there are various spheres of your life that give it meaning. Life can be viewed from multiple angles, and it can be defined from multiple aspects.  Believe it or not, to begin with, those problems that are like itches you can't reach, actually give meaning to your life.  Each time you navigate a difficult situation, you come out with a million new lessons about life and you grow stronger. You discover your potential, you start realizing the powers life has already vested in you and you have something to look back on and retrospect. What's a novel without confli...
